Diversity that brings us together
Whether in industry, real estate or the health and social care sector: Funk’s clients could not be more diverse. We also promote this diversity within our own team. After all, our employees are the most important factor in our company’s success. On this page, we show you the areas in which we are actively working to promote greater diversity – and how, through Funk Diversity & Inclusion, we aim to ensure that even more diverse voices are heard at Funk.
“All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights”: this is how the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights begins. Common sense also tells us that everyone deserves equal opportunities – and this is an essential part of our values. Incidentally, studies also show that diverse teams achieve better results. But it is not enough simply to advocate for equal opportunities and diversity. We must actively promote them.
At Funk, we embrace diversity in every aspect. We have summarised our commitment in five key areas. We are already active in all of them and are constantly expanding our scope of action. Funk Diversity & Inclusion drives this initiative forward with a dedicated core team and a feedback group.

Measures implemented in 2025
As part of our membership of the Diversity Charter, we provide annual transparency regarding the major measures we have implemented: in 2025, Funk continued its series of talks on different cultures, offering insights into eight new countries. To empower women, internal and external female speakers gave talks on topics such as quick-wittedness, imposter syndrome and retirement planning for women. On Diversity Day, we highlighted the topic of generations and also offered training on intergenerational collaboration. We are particularly proud of our Inclusion Agreement and the Diversity & Respect Works Council Agreement, which were adopted in 2025 and lay important foundations for respectful coexistence.
Measures implemented in 2024
In 2024, Funk conducted a survey of female employees and organised an empowerment event, amongst other initiatives, and hosted a meeting of the fidi women’s network. We celebrated German Diversity Day and introduced our new Inclusion Officer. We raised awareness among employees about various diversity topics through a diversity workshop for all managers, specialist talks on cultural diversity and articles on the intranet. We set up a reboarding section where employees can find relevant information at a glance after a long absence. Our works council has also established a committee for diversity, equality and family-friendliness.
