(German) Supply Chain Act: Preventively Reducing Supplier Risks with Training Courses
German companies have to identify increased risks among their direct suppliers in global supply chains as part of their duty of care obligations under the German Supply Chain Act. The Funk Supplier Training Courses support you efficiently in training your suppliers and in reducing risks in the supply chain.
Requirements of the (German) Supply Chain Act
The German Supply Chain Act has been in force since January 1, 2023. It imposes comprehensive requirements for annual risk analysis and risk-minimizing preventive measures along the supply chain. Funk supports your company extensively with pragmatic approaches, tools, and training to fulfill these duty of care requirements. Preventive Measures for Immediate Suppliers
In the step-by-step risk analysis, human rights and environmental risks are evaluated and prioritized according to the Supply Chain Act’s protected legal positions. Appropriate and effective preventive measures must be defined for the identified supply chain risks. Signing a code of conduct on the part of the direct supplier is not sufficient in the case of high risks in the supply chain. In particular, legislation stipulates supplier training as an appropriate preventive measure for priority risks. The Funk Supplier Training Courses offer an effective prevention measure in support of our clients.
Funk’s Training to Reduce Supplier Risks
Funk offers twelve different self-learning courses as well as a basic training course on the German Supply Chain Act. The training courses pursue the goal of familiarizing suppliers with the individual legal positions and obligations. Companies can assign automated courses via the Funk Learning Platform to suppliers with elevated risks. Once the supplier completes the training, an audit-proof certificate is automatically generated as verification of completion of the preventive measure. With the Funk Supplier Training Courses, you thus actively fulfill your duty of care obligations regarding suppliers with elevated risks and sensitize your global supply chain to human rights and environmental standards.
