The EUDR at a glance
The EUDR is a decisive step in the fight against global deforestation, degradation, and conversion of forests. The EUDR affects companies that import, produce, or export certain raw materials into or from the EU. Compliance with the regulation requires the implementation of the following:
- The raw materials must be deforestation-free*
- Raw materials must be produced in accordance with the legislation of the country of origin
- A declaration of due diligence must be submitted by the companies affected by the EUDR
